Nicolau

Nicolau was born in 1986, in Vila Nova de Cerveira. He studied design and worked as an illustrator for the Portuguese musicians Miguel Araújo and Carminho. Between the paper, the screen and the wall, he seeks the space between the immediate and the refined, with humour and a certain degree of relevance. In recent years, he worked for Casa da Música, Metro do Porto, Bibliotecas de Lisboa, Imprensa Nacional, among others. And, in partnership with Joana Estrela, he organises the collective and erratic drawing evenings Drink&Draw, from Porto city, where he usually cycles.

He illustrated the biography António Lobo Antunes, the love of beautiful things (or at least of those I consider so), of the Great Portuguese Lives collection, a Pato Lógico and INCM co-edition.
